About Intercessory Prayer Ministry International

Intercessory Prayer Ministry International (IPMI) is a Christian non-denominational ministry that has been in operation since 1996. The organization offers a number of excellent programs centered around prayer and fasting, all aimed at encouraging individuals and churches to pray more effectively for revival in support of societal change and world evangelization. The programs include such special events as the International Prayer Breakfast held annually in New York City and attracting hundreds of Christians of various denominations from the United States, particularly from the Caribbean and Jamaican Diaspora; the International Prayer Summit, a three days event held annually in New York City, focusing on worship, prayer, intercession and spiritual warfare; The Annual Twenty-one Days of Prayer and Fasting, an event, which is supported by individuals, groups and churches of various denominations from nations around the world; and the Jamaican Diaspora Day of Prayer and Fasting, a special project, sponsored jointly by Intercessory Prayer Ministry International and members of the clergy from the Jamaican Diaspora, to encourage Christians from the Jamaican Diaspora to fast and pray for revival in Jamaica on August 1 each year. Other programs include a monthly interdenominational prayer meeting, held on fourth Saturdays at the Hampton Inn, JFK Airport; schools of prayer, hosted each year in conjunction with churches of various denominations in New York and elsewhere; the IPMI Global Prayer Network, which offers an opportunity to intercessors around the world to network together for the purpose of uniting in prayer for revival; and the IPMI Prayer Support and Intervention ministry, which co-ordinates and hosts regular times of prayer for the needs of the ministry and for the prayer requests that the ministry receives from around the world. In keeping with the organization’s mission of equipping and empowering members of the Christian community to reach and transform their communities, cities and nations through the Christian Gospel, the Intercessory Prayer Ministry International Training Institute was recently established to offer courses in leadership, spiritual disciplines, community transformation, missions, worship and the arts.
